Up for sale is this short sword/dagger that has significant wear. This is 14" long overall with a 9" blade. Unfortunately the blade is rusted so it is hard to determine if there are any markings above the hilt. This has many indications that it could be manufactured by N.P. Ames Company. The crossguard is approx. 2.75" long and possibly the ends cut off. The pommel has what looks like an eagle holding arrows but has possibly also been cut or used as a hammer so it is half the size it should be. This is a beautiful piece that would be great to display.
