This is a circulated 1961 Guatemala 1 Quetzal banknote from the Banco de Guatemala. The banknote represents a snapshot of Guatemala's economy and financial system during that time period, making it a unique and sought-after collectible item for numismatists and those interested in world paper money. This specific issue was printed in London by Waterlow & Sons Limited. They printed the 1-quetzal notes with 7-digit serial numbers from 1959 until 1964, making them much scarcer than later 1970s variations printed by Thomas De La Rue.
