Up for sale is a stunning and exceptionally rare piece of Canadian fashion history. This structured mid-century evening bag was crafted by Royal Fernera of Canada and features a sophisticated design by the renowned Monsieur Henry. This measures approx. 9.75" wide, 7.25" tall and 3" deep. The standout feature of this purse is its beautiful, architectural gold-tone frame with a distinctive geometric cutout clasp accent. The leather is smooth and supple with minimal surface wear. The iconic gold-tone frame holds its shape well and shows light, age-appropriate surface wear. The interior is clean and free of odors with 2 pockets. Please note that the corner of the zippered pocket is coming detached from the lining (see close-up photos). There is cosmetic surface wear, cracking, and minor peeling on one leather loop where the handle meets the gold-tone metal ring (see close-up photo). The outer black finish has worn away at this friction point, exposing the lighter under-layer of the leather, though the strap remains structurally attached.
