Up for sale is a rare, authentic vintage 1952 theatrical promotional photograph featuring Marya Nirska, the renowned mid-century vaudeville, cabaret, and exotic butterfly wing dancer. This stunning black-and-white portrait was captured by the legendary Maurice Seymour Studios of Chicago, highly famous for documenting the Golden Age of theater, ballet, and burlesque. The studio's signature mark is clearly visible in the bottom right corner. The photograph features a beautiful, prominent inscription hand-signed in fountain pen ink by Nirska herself. "To Yvonne — With Loads of Good Luck and Happiness, Nirska" Hand-dated "Aug 30th, 52". It boasts strong contrast, deep blacks, and clean whites. There is some yellowing to the edges and light edge/corner wear typical of paper items from the 1950s.
