This exceptional piece features a clever double-sided design, blending traditional floral relief work with hidden spiritual iconographies. The front features detailed, deeply embossed 3D rose flower panel links with a beautiful textured finish. The back of each rose link reveals a beautifully detailed embossed religious figure. This includes a clear Miraculous Medal ("Holy Mary Pray For Us 1830"), St. Christopher carrying Christ, and other sacred Catholic saints. This is stamped "STERLING" on the reverse side of the final panel link. The links are completely non-magnetic. The heavy-duty fold over clasp contains base metal/steel components for structural durability. This weighs approx. 12.8 grams.
Great vintage condition with normal wear consistent with age. There is lovely, unpolished natural oxidation and tarnish in the recessed areas, giving the saint iconography and rose petals incredible depth and contrast. The clasp functions properly and securely.
